SISA validates Al Baraka Bank for being PCI DSS v3.2.1 Compliant

Al Baraka Bank recently renewed its Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard compliance certificate, assessed by SISA.

Manama, Bahrain – October 12, 2021 – Al Baraka Islamic Bank, one of the leading financial institutions of the Islamic banking sector, has received the PCI DSS certificate for successfully meeting the security norms of protecting their customers’ data.

PCI DSS is a set of established information security standards determined to ensure that the payment card data is stored, processed, and transmitted securely.

After a precise assessment, the certificate of compliance is awarded to those organizations that abide by all the PCI DSS requirements that help reduce the threats and prevent the risks of payment fraud.

SISA is a PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) that evaluates the organizations based on the standards set by PCI SSC and handovers the compliance certificate after completing the audit.

Al Baraka was previously awarded the PCI DSS v3.2 certificate, also by SISA, and this is the mandatory annual renewal of the certification.
