Dharshan Shanthamurthy Addresses ISACA Bangalore Chapter

SISA, a global payment security specialists, Founder and CEO, Mr. Dharshan Shanthamurthy, recently delivered an informative address on payment security to the ISACA Bangalore Chapter on Saturday 27th April 2019.

Mr. Shanthamurthy drew from his own first hand observations of the payment industry, garnered over the years. He spoke about emerging trends in the payments industry, including some of the new form factors of payment and their associated risks. As part of his talk, he also spoke about some of the prominent payment forensic breaches that have rocked the industry, and learning from them. He provided an overview on Payment Data Security standards, with insights on choosing the right standard for different scenarios. Finally, he also shared some key tips and insights on how companies can learn from some of the security breaches to bolster their own security postures.

Speaking about the event, Mr. Shanthamurthy said, “As digital payments see a steady uptick in India, we are also unfortunately witnessing a steady increase in payment frauds and breaches. Therefore, I was happy to share my experiences with this highly influential group consisting of representatives from banks, service providers as well as merchants. It was great to note that each of the members present understood the enormity of the issue and was keen to work towards improving the security posture of their organization/customer.”
