CPISI-D – Secure Payment Application Development Workshop
The workshop is focused on helping application developers and architects on developing a secure payment application. As PA-DSS and OWASP are the industry best practice in payment application to develop secure applications, the workshop revolves around these two standards. SISA’s CPISI-D, a secure payment application development workshop, is concentrated on how to develop a secure payment application.
The focus of the workshop is on how to design the application, for incorporating all the security points and PCI requirements. In addition, it also focuses on what the developers should keep in mind while developing the workshop. Apart from design and development process, the workshop focuses on secure deployment, testing and how to securely maintain and update the application.
As both PA-DSS v3.2 and PCI DSS v3.2, requires the developers and architects to be trained on secure coding practice, the intended audience of this workshop are definitely the application developers, application architects, testers, etc. But as the workshop covers the concepts as well, it can be attended by all security professionals as well.
That being said, don’t think, that as it is the workshop on developing a secure payment application, only developers and architects developing payment application need to attend the same. The concepts and points covered in the workshop can be used for developing any application securely.
